Segmented PDLC Smart Film

For the offices of Cranes Arapis in Aspropyrgos, Smartspace transformed a glass partition into a dynamic architectural feature that combines privacy, technology and brand identity.

This was our first project using Segmented PDLC Smart Film, enabling the glass to operate in four distinct configurations:

1. Film off – complete privacy

2. Film off – privacy + logo

3. Film on – transparency + logo

4. Film on – complete transparency, no logo

The company logo was provided as a simple PDF file. Our team converted it into a precision cutting file and integrated it directly into the PDLC film using laser-cut technology, creating a fully customised branded effect.

The outcome >> A dynamic glass surface with four distinct visual states.

At the touch of a button, the director can instantly shift between transparency, privacy and different logo configurations, adapting the space to each moment while creating a striking visual experience for everyone entering the office.

More than a privacy solution, the installation turns the glass into an active expression of the Cranes Arapis brand. By combining segmented PDLC technology with custom graphic integration, the surface becomes both functional and communicative.
